Julia Weston is a British–Australian freelance illustrator whose work has been published in magazines, newspapers, and books around the world. She began her career in 1991 after graduating from Bristol University. In 1996, she moved to Tokyo, where she was represented by Grade One and Asterisk Illustration Agencies. During this time, she was a regular cover artist for NOVA CITY magazine and contributed monthly cartoons to NOVARK magazine and the Nagasaki Shimbun. More recently, Julia illustrated The Trudie Cooper Super Foodie books by Carolyn Eldridge Alfonzetti and has collaborated with Caribbean writer Carlisle Richardson on Rose Grows Veggies, to be published by Cyril and Dorsie Publishing in late 2025.
Julia’s work is inspired by scenes from everyday life and the quiet connections between people and nature.
