Born to an artist father and ceramicist mother, I was always destined for a life in art. In high school, I created caricatures of my teachers as the animals they resembled, and to this day, I continue to see people through their animal likenesses. For example, whenever Kevin Bacon appears on television, I can’t help but shout “freshwater turtle!” at the screen.

I studied Graphic Design at Swinburne University, and in my third year, I had the unique opportunity to study Fine Arts and Illustration at Hong-ik University in Seoul, South Korea, supported by a study grant. Despite only knowing a handful of Korean words—‘hello,’ ‘yes,’ ‘please,’ ‘thank you,’ and ‘yummy!’—I connected with my classmates through drawings, using art as a universal language.

My works are characterised by a gentle and whimsical style, featuring strong, bright colours and polished vector techniques. Animals remain a prominent theme throughout my portfolio, reflecting the enduring influence of my early artistic experiences.
